Adding Domains to geoPlugin

Once registered, you can start to add domains to geoPlugin.

Adding domains can be done from your home area under the Domain Management → Add Domains menu link or directly from this URL.

Domains are added by entering the domain name (i.e. do not add http://.... which specifies a URL).

Once you have added a domain, you will receive an email regarding how to activate this domain.

Activating a domain is essential to complete this process. If you do not activate a domain within 7 days of registering it, it will deleted from our records and you will have to re-register it.

When adding a domain, it is important not to add the www. part (e.g. www.yourdomain.com).

The reason is that the www specifies a subdomain of your main domain, and statistics will only be gathered from traffic coming from www.yourdomain.com, and ignored from yourdomain.com

To catch traffic coming from all subdomains, simply add yourdomain.com as your domain name.

Of course, you may well want to have statistics tracking for specific subdomains separated from other subdomains, or your main domain. In that case, by all means, add a specific subdomain, e.g. members.yourdomain.com
This will enable statistics tracking for members.yourdomain.com and will appear as a totally different domain (and statistics) as yourdomain.com.
